Since 2005, Juancarlos has advised on or acted as a principal in over 1 billion in retail and licensing transactions, including agreements with leading retailers such as TJX, Bj's, Ross, Marshalls, Burlington, Saks Off 5th, and Nordstrom Rack. In addition, he is the Co-Founder of Tommy Hilfiger Electronics, ushering the iconic menswear brand into the consumer electronics category.
Prior to NYSEE. Financial Planner & Strategist at Strategies For Wealth. He then worked as a Strategic Advisor with Tommy and Andy Hilfiger's company Star Branding, helping superstars such as Adam Levine, Nicki Minaj, Steven Tyler, and Jennifer Lopez secure multi-billion-dollar licensing agreements with major retailers, including Kmart. In addition, Juancarlos directed domestic and international brand expansions into Latin America for JLO and Marc Anthony and co-owned the Shape Magazine athleisure brand, licensed by Shape Magazine (American Media), alongside Tommy and Andy Hilfiger. In 2019, he operated as a Strategic Advisor to the hedge fund Chatham Asset Management on their retail and supply chain properties. Utilizing his love for culture, Juancarlos advised Kyambo 'Hip Hop'' Joshua when forming his management company, Hip Hop Since 1978, home to Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Drake, and Jeezy. In addition, he is responsible for spearheading and advising on the Alife streetwear brand's licensing deal with Ecko Unltd and worked intimately with Serena Williams to develop her signature fragrance.
Juancarlos began his career in the music industry, marketing special projects for industry icons, including, Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, and many others.
He is a lifelong native New Yorker and a product of the New York City Public School system, attending PS 87, Dual Language Middle School, and High School For Environmental Studies.
